BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Summary of Position

Identify insurance brokerage partnerships to support their digital transformation. Reporting to the CEO, develop new relationships for the company by solicitation of new insurance brokerage clients; to educate brokers on our services, systems and procedures; to assist internal department as required; to promote company at insurance industry functions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Canadian property & casualty insurance network and experience required
  • Identify brokerage websites to power with the Apollo Insurance platform
  • Identify and solicit book rollovers including programs which can be automated on the Apollo Insurance platform
  • Develop and maintain strong/profitable relationships with insurance brokers (clients) within assigned territory in order to exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients by representing Apollo Insurance in a professional manner through office visitations, presentations, functions, conferences, phone calls and written correspondence.
  • Provide valuable assistance to clients by analyzing their needs, identifying problems and providing solutions in order to retain and expand their loan volume.
  • Educate assigned brokers on Apollo Insurance services, policies and processes while working closely with assigned underwriting team to increase quality of business, approval and funding ratios.
  • Build internal working relationships with staff and aid Inside Sales, Marketing, Credit, Operations and Collection personnel as needed.
  • Use creativity and good judgment to provide the client with the best possible terms/program.
  • Analyze production reports to evaluate monthly loan volume, identify challenges, and target brokers for increased sales opportunities.
  • Be a strong advocate for assigned brokers, ensuring that opportunities and issues are brought forward to management.
  • Monitor local insurance trends and competitive developments and report to management as needed.
  • Promote other finance products/solutions and services by providing training/development opportunities for clients and attending client and trade functions.
  • Share best practices and product/process improvement ideas with peers and other segments of the business.
  • Establish and maintain contact management system and communicate weekly/monthly activity to management as directed.
  • Prepare reports, business plans, and business cases as required.
  • Ensure expenses are kept up to date; within budget and value maximization is attained for all expenditures.

 

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

SENIOR INSURANCE BROKER

Position Summary

Apollo Insurance Solutions is looking for an entrepreneurial insurance professional with a vision to create and distribute digital insurance programs.

The Sr. Broker will lead all primary insurance functions of the Apollo Insurance Solutions, identify and lead initiatives to achieve Key Performance Indicators, and leverage their expertise to deliver on the business plan as set in collaboration with the Board of Directors and CEO.  

As Apollo is a Marketplace, the Sr. Broker will be required to be engaged with both insurers and brokerages to accelerate the flywheel effect of the company’s revenue model. This individual will be responsible for insurance program development like negotiating product specifications, rate tables, and eligibility guidelines while doing competitive research to understand industry standards. They will create multi-line commercial programs, automate them with our insurtech team, and provide them to our broker force.

The ideal candidate will have an existing industry network, and understand the opportunities of insurtech. The position will be compensated based on digital book growth, digital programs built and deployed, sales of additional services, salary and bonus for achieving targets.  

Job Duties:

  1. Products/ Insurer Contracts
    • Reaching out to industry relationships for new binding authority contracts and hosted products on platform
    • Support product development roadmap by identifying distribution opportunities, unique or differentiated product offering, and standard market product to grow immediate addressable opportunity (i.e. add personal lines)
    • Work with development team to translate rates and product specifications into an outline to be built on platform (i.e. limits, trigger questions, rate implications etc.)
  2. Broker Network
    • Grow supply channels by introducing new brokerage relationships to the Company
    • Support the sales team in closing and onboarding of brokerage partners where required
    • Identify key portfolios for book rollover opportunities and strategic partnerships
  3. Book Rollover Opportunities
    • Work with our current partners to solicit book rollovers and Letters of Intent for book automations
    • Manage the placement and onboarding of book rollovers when solicited by sales team; work with the technology team to facilitate functionality and product development
  4. Corporate Strategy
    • Opportunities for financing from insurance company partners
    • Product roadmap, go to market, differentiation, USA entry etc
    • Solicit executive feedback from brokerages and carriers on Apollo market positioning, revenue optimization, and collaboration opportunities

SENIOR FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER
